To add start-to-start lag between two tasks:

Select the line connecting the two tasks.

Choose Lag Time from the Task menu.



Click the Start to Start button.

In the Lag Duration field, type the number of units of lag time you want to add between the start of the first task and the start of the second task.

Click OK.

Important: With start-to-start lag, there is no longer a dependency between the finish of one task and the start of the next. Double-check the flow of your project to see if any other tasks depend on that first task finishing. You may want to add a dependency line between that task and another one to its right in the Schedule Chart.
